Easter

On Saturday, we went to the Sports Academy for Hunter's first Easter Egg Hunt. It was perfect. They divided the children by ages and limited everyone 10 eggs, until the last few minutes and then everyone could get the rest of them.

We found our own little spot for Hunter to gather his eggs.

As soon as Hunter discovered that there was candy hidden inside the eggs, he went a little crazy. It was Halloween all over again. He wanted to unwrap the candy right away and eat it as soon as humanly possible. He didn't understand that he could put them in his basket, get more eggs, and eat the candy later. We really only needed one egg to keep this kiddo happy.

Like I said, there was some serious concentration going on.  He stopped his easter egg hunt, sat on the curb and unwrapped his chocolate.

So, basically Mom and Dad went around and got Hunter the rest of his eggs.

Success! Chocolate. . . couldn't get better!

Happy Easter boy!

 Easter with the family!

On the way home, Hunter managed to get into his candy bag and unwrap a green taffy taffy. Yum.

Sunday morning, we had Easter Egg Hunt #2. We did it in our backyard. Hunter pretty much reenacted the first Easter Egg Hunt. I really should have only hid one easter egg, but Hunter enjoyed it.  He LOVED the fact that he could get endless candy. Later that day he found an easter egg and was sadly disappointed that there wasn't any candy in it.  It took a while to realize that not ALL easter eggs have candy.

Hunter got a new Sunday Easter outfit.  He looks so stinking cute in it, but sadly I have yet to snatch a picture of Hunter in it. . . he is so hard to take pictures of these days!

He loved his new stacking cups
. . .  and his new shoes!

We went home and watched conference. This was the first time we watched conference with just our little family. I must say, it's hard to watch conference with little kids! It's a good thing we can read/listen to them after. Usually, we are with my family celebrating our tradition of a big breakfast, priesthood dinner with the boys. Since my parents were in San Francisco, we stayed in Logan and enjoyed starting our own family traditions. We decided to make homemade cinnamon rolls for the first time and used Grandma Fern's famous recipe.

Hunter was definitely a fan! Dayton was pretty excited too. It was a great Easter Sunday! :)
