Carter Turns 3

Happy Birthday to my Carter BUG! He was so excited to turn three. Carter got to plan out his whole day and I enjoyed trying to make it special for him. Breakfast started out with his favorite French toast, but his favorite was coming down stairs to discover a birthday balloon! He also chose is own outfit. His tie shirt is his favorite.

After breakfast, we opened presents. Carter got pretend food. He loves to cook for everyone. He got a sandwich and hamburger set. He also got a backpack full of the velcro cutting fruits and vegetables. He didn't take the backpack off all day. He couldn't have been happier.

After presents, we let Carter plan the day. He chose to go on a walk. We walked to his favorite horses. Then he wanted to play "boats" down the gutter.

For a birthday surprise, Hunter and Carter both got a trampoline! They were pretty surprised and enjoyed jumping on it all afternoon.
We got a video of the surprise, I don't think they were thinking it was going to be a BIG surprise, they had a hard time finding what it was! hahahha

Dayton even got out the sprinkler for them all to jump under.

Best buds.

Carter wanted hot dogs on the fire and a yellow duck birthday cake. He still talks about his cake. He absolutely loved it. I felt pretty good about making a gluten, dairy, soy free frosted chocolate cake!

An update on Carter. Carter is still our energetic, full of life little boy. He loves to tease and play and nothing makes him happier than making others laugh and smile. He has a contagious laugh- he has quite the little giggle.
Carter looks up to Hunter and loves to play with him and his friends. He doesn't want to be left out of anything. He is also protective of Cooper. He makes sure he is safe- he can't fall down stairs or isn't by toys that he could choke on.
Carter recently started talking more and I just want to record everything that sweet little boy voice says.
Carter loves food, our dogs, the color yellow, batman, and running "fast." Carter loves anything spooky and scary. He loves when Dayton tells him about spooky stories.
Carter has a make believe friend- the ghost. He comes with us everywhere and lately he has requested breakfast for the ghost as well. The other day I heard him playing his I room and he was talking to his friend the ghost. It was adorable.

Carter, sporting his favorite blanket, his "weeding glove" and monkey slippers. He sure is goofy and always makes us laugh.

I got Carter out of his crib for a nap. He tried to take his shirt off and couldn't figure out how to put his arm back in. He thought it was hilarious and he couldn't stop laughing.
Rub a dub dub, three boys in a tub. We sure love this boys and love that they are such good friends.
Carter's new hair cut!
We were swimming in the back yard and having lunch. Carter was finishing a chocolate muffin. He had the funniest mustache... Carter aka Hitler.

Carter has to sleep with his dog Otie and his favorite blanket. He also has his baby that he puts to bed.
