We enjoyed our first Thanksgiving with just immediate family out in Roosevelt. It was small and simple, and couldn't have been better. It was Dayton's family- Grandpa Dave, Grandma Shirlene, Bo, Mariah, and our little family. I was in charge of the fruit and veggie trays because thats a lot of my Thanksgiving dinner :). I thought my little turkeys turned out great!
Even Dayton was impressed.
Our Thanksgiving feast!
Hunter enjoyed his chocolate pie.
Couldn't ever have a clean-up without Bo serenading us on the piano! Hah. Him and Roo and fun coming up with duets.
This summer, Dayton's parents extend their background so Hunter could have more playground area. The sprinkler system got put in and after the grass gets put in Hunter will have LOTS to do. He was spoiled with a new playground set. The weather was beautiful! (Notice Dayton's shorts!). This apparently is the way to swing a kid these days.
Hunter LOVES books. He doesn't always have the longest attention span, but he always chooses a book out of a pile of toys. Makes for a proud teacher/mommy. He loves to hold them and turn the pages. He really enjoyed reading them with grandpa Dave. . . He puts a new twist on reading books! ;)
Since Hunter is the only grandchild, he gets LOTS of attention in Roosevelt. Sometimes you just need to sit back and relax and there is no better place to do that than Roosevelt.
Hunter loved playing the piano and was the cutest little dancer. He accompanied Grandma while she set up for Christmas.
Hunter was spoiled with Grandma Shirlene's preschool at USU. We should have taken more advantage of it! We could barely get him to leave.
These stairs were definitely a favorite.
The drum was pretty neat too.
We went to the legendary UTE lanes. Of course we couldn't play a game without a bet. Luckily Dayton and I both beat Dave and won ourselves $20. (I might add that I was the top scorer. :)) But. . . . our greedy selves went for another round and totally got slaughtered. Dang greed. Maybe next time.
Hunter didn't like bowling nearly as much as we did.
We definitely missed Cayden (Elder Law) this year! It sure wasn't the same without him. Nobody was there to have midnight pizza rolls snacks with or food challenges. We sure miss him, but are proud of him. We decorated a pillow case to send him for Christmas.
