Summer Lovin'

We have had such a fun summer. I'm sad that it's coming to an end. Here are a few things we did over the past few months.
Of course, you can't have summer without Bear Lake. Hunter did so much better this year and absolutely loved it. He especially enjoyed camping in a tent and riding the tractor.

Daddy and Carter after our bike around Bear Lake. This year we got to bike with Mike and Katie too.
 Mom, Katie, and Charlotte
The boys playing their famous scoop ball.

My dad, "Papa," took the grandsons (and Isaac) to Fathers and sons. James and Hunter had a blast!

Hunter loves James and looks up to him so much. We are glad to have two boy cousins around the same age.

We got to take a Model A ride. Afterwards Hunter told me, "Mom that car was really fun!"
Hunter got to spend a few days in Roosevelt. He loved seeing the new cows.
Hunter wanted to go camping in the backyard (probably due to the Bear Lake camping trips and the camping trip with Papa and James). He was stoked to camp with Uncle Cayden.

All week he refused to take a bath, but Grandma Shirlene finally won the last night.
Sometimes Hunter has his moments. . . and only Daniel Tiger can fix it.
. . . and it's even better when you can eat pancakes and watch Daniel Tiger. Hunter = spoiled.

We went to Wheeler Farm with Hunter's best friend Lucas. They couldn't believe how big the pig was.
These boys are two peas in a pod. They love tractors and enjoyed seeing old tractors and machines at the farm.

We really enjoy our Zoo pass. It as been fun to go see the different shows, animals, and the new playground and splash pad.

A few weeks ago, Dayton finished his final early on Saturday and decided to go mountain biking. Hunter REALLY want to go biking with Daddy, so instead, Hunter and Dayton went on a hike up Corner Canyon. Hunter walked over 2 miles. What a champ!

Getting a good smile from Hunter is pretty difficult these days. . .
but that little monster smile makes me laugh.

Dayton spent a lot of time building a shed for my parents. It was a pretty intense, time consuming project. It consisted of taking out half of the sand box, selling the old playground, pouring concrete, brining in new sand, and building and stuccoing the shed. It took Dayton several months, but we were glad Dayton could do that for my parents while we are staying in Murray.
Hunter was stoked when the cement truck came to poor concrete.

Hunter had to be right in on the action.

I promise he was excited about seeing the truck.... haha.

Hunter sure enjoyed using the skidster with Dayton to move sand.

We've enjoyed living close to Evelyn and Anastasia. The boys sure love their cousin and enjoyed playing with her and going on walks.

Hunter loves having picnics. If it isn't in the park, he insists on having one in the backyard. Today's menu was marshmallows and green beans. (Hunter's choice)
We loved spending time with the Sampsons and are so sad they are now in Silicon Valley. It was nice to meet Natalie at Brooke Lee's house to swim.
We also love playing at the gateway fountains and at the splash pads at Willow Pond Park.

The boys have loved playing in the backyard this summer. Carter enjoyed the swings before we sold them for the "backyard makeover."

We got a little kiddy pool and the boys just loved it. It was the best $10 we spent all summer!

Carter's first time in the pool!

Last week we took a trip to Logan to see all of our friends. Of course we had to drive by the temple and the big A! Hunter sure loves it there and it felt so good to be back. These ladies do wonders for my soul. It was so good to see them! We got to see Mindy Kiah, Bree, and their new house. After, we met up with everyone for a picnic at Milville Splash pad. Then we had a playdate with Dax at Stephanies. It was simply the best.
We got just about everyone in for a picture. We were impressed with June's photo skills.
Can't believe how fast the kids are growing!
