Fall Adventures

Fall is my favorite time of the year. It's a fun time of year, but with our yard, it is also a busy time. It means harvesting all of our garden produce and fruit from the orchards. This was our last round of tomato picking.
We have a couple of apple trees, so there is never a shortage of apples. The boys tried out apple nachos.

Grandma Hunter sent the boys a fun Halloween activity kit. It included fun pumpkin decorations for Halloween. Hunter wanted the scary monster... which is did a pretty good job imitating in this picture.
Carter wanted a spider pumpkin. He loved it and was darling. The boys picked their pumpkins from the field by Mapleton cemetery. Every year Jaker's pumpkins gives every family free pumpkins. These were the pumpkins of their choice.

Every year we attend Jaker's pumpkins. It is so fun! The weather was glorious and we met our friends Ellen and Lindsay and their boys. The corn pit is always a hit.

Jaker's is full of corn mazes, petting zoo, slides, hay rides, and so many fun activities. It is a family favorite.

The boys had some fun face painting at the gym.

With Zoe's first winter, I wanted to make sure she had a warm place to go. She wasn't using her dog house very much (of course she is now) so we built her a hay fort to escape to. Zoe and Otie love it and are in it all the time on cold days. Dayton found a good deal on hay and I think he was excited to try out his new truck.

The boys were good helpers.
We attended the annual Mapleton Scarecrow festival at Mapleton park.

The boys enjoyed making lots of caramel apples. We had fun trying out different toppings.

Carter opted for sprinkles and Hunter used crushed up Oreos.

And of course we had lots of fun playing in the leaves.
