Summer Fun

So yes, I'm behind on blogging yet again. I can't believe summer is almost over. We have had so much fun this summer. We enjoyed going to "Mapleton Beach" aka Springville reservoir. We are lucky to live only a mile away from it. We loved sharing it with our cousins and friends this summer.

Hunter loves "going deep." He walks out as far as he can touch, field up a bucket and comes back. He did this for HOURS.

Taking break from the sand to eat some lunch.
I promise Carter loves the beach, he just won't let me take his picture!

Can't have summer without a good Popsicle. We love making different recipes this summer. This was Hunter's personal favorite. Homemade fudgsicles.

We have loved our backyard this summer- especially our back porch. One night Dayton and I decided we were going to have a sleepover on our porch off of our bedroom. We blew up an air mattress and enjoyed feeling like we were camping, but having all the comforts of our home. It was perfect and such a beautiful summer night.

We loved playing in our little "kid" pool in the backyard.

. . .  why is it so hard to get a decent picture of Carter? Silly boy.
The boys enjoy hanging out in the yard and eating at their "picnic" table. I love that they are best friends!
Hunter loves to hike. We want on lots of walks around Mapleton and really enjoyed the trails. We especially like hiking up Hobble Creek Canyon. We love living so close!

"selfie" with my boy.
Hanging out in the stroller.

Hunter loves hiking and always manages to find a great walking stick.

We missed our story time at the library this summer but were able to go to a puppet show after the kids decorated their own cardboard box cars.
Grandma Hunter and Papa bough season passes to Thanksgiving point. We met them a few times this summer at the museums. We love the museum of curiosity. We were able to go with Annie, James, and Kate while they were in town. This was a water station the kids got to play in and build their own waterways.

The Sampsons were passing through Utah on their way to Idaho and we were able to meet at Jamba Juice for a quick visit. We sure miss our friends!
Hunter, Zadock, Carter, Kennedi, and baby Joey in the back.

Saying our goodbyes. Can't wait to see them again.

The Springville Splash pad is one of our favorite places to go. We went a bunch of summer. The boys loved playing with their cups and squirt guns.
