Every year the boys and I create a Christmas countdown chain. Each day there is an activity written on the chain. We cut one off and do an activity every day in December until Christmas. December 1 was making Christmas sugar cookies and then taking some to neighbors.
Here is a list of the fun things on our chain:
December 2- Decorate the Christmas tree and go to the Mapleton City Tree Lighting festival
December 3- Make paper snowflakes to decorate the windows
December 4- Make Christmas cards and send them to those who might need cheering up
December 5- Family Indoor Snowball Fight
December 6- Family Christmas Movie Night
December 7- Family Game Night and homemade Caramel Popcorn
December 8- Gingerbread Houses
December 9- Meet Santa at the Library
December 10- Christmas Bells Concert and Service acts around the house
December 11- Santa's workshop at Springville Art Museum
December 12- Christmas Craft at the Library
December 13- Making gingerbreadmen
December 14- Ward Christmas Breakfast and Nativity
December 15- Play games with Elderly
December 16- Buy and wrap sibling gifts
December 17- Christmas songs and dance party
December 18- Frosty the Snowman movie
December 19- Food donations
December 20-Spanish Fork Lights
December 21- Hot Chocolate Bar
December 22- Christmas Stories
December 23- Hunter family taffy pulling
December 24- Make reindeer food and snacks for Santa and open Christmas Eve presents
