This year we spent the Christmas holiday with the Hunter side. We went to our ward's Christmas program and then headed to Murray to celebrate Isaac's birthday. We had our traditional Swedish dinner and opened presents.
Then we did a Nativity with the grandkids and talked about each character in the Nativity and who we would like to be.
We then made "shepherd" sugar cookies.
The next day, the adults that didn't have to work went to an escape room together. It was both mine and Dayton's first time with an escape room and it was pretty interesting. It was a pirate themed and of course the brothers voted to do the hardest version. It was tricky and we definitely needed some guidance on the way, but we did finish with a few seconds over our time. At one point the boys were getting competitive and really into it, and us girls were just having out. We found it pretty comical.

While the adults were out, Grandma and Papa were champs and took ALL of the grandkids to a bounce house to play. They all LOVED it.
That night we made our traditional taffy in honor of Grandma Fern's tradition. We are happy to say we have finally perfected the recipe and enjoyed making different flavors. This year we made vanilla, raspberry, orange, almond, and lemon. We want to experiment with different flavors next year.

For Christmas Eve, people went to see Star Wars in the morning. Then we gathered for a yummy smoked prime rib meal thanks to Papa. Afterwards we had out little "musical" for Grandma- she claimed it was all she wanted was to have everyone do musical numbers. It turns into quite the production with our large family, but Grandma was very pleased with our performance and everyone did a great job.
We exchanged sibling gifts and then we left for our own Christmas even in Mapleton.
