We surprised the kids with a get-a-way to Heber. We got a hotel back in November. We anticipated going to the ice castles, but unfortunately because of the little snow this year so far they hadn't opened yet. We wanted to take them to soldier hollow to sled, but they wouldn't allow anyone younger than three, so that didn't work either. There isn't much to do there without snow, but we went anyways and had a fun time. The boys love staying in hotels. They love swimming, staying up late together, and the free breakfast in the morning. I joked that we could have saved a lot of money by just staying in a hotel in Provo. The boys could honestly care where we go at this point, but we had a good time.
We hung out at the hotel for a bit and played games. Then we took the boys to dinner at the famous Dairy Keen to see the trains. They loved it and what could be better than burgers, fries, and shakes?
We got back to the hotel, popped popcorn and the boys rented, "Pikachu the Detective." Dayton and I reminded ourselves that it is not about us so we let them choose the movie. We weren't impressed, but they were glued to the movie.
That morning we went to breakfast and it was one of the best breakfasts we have ever been to. The boys were enthralled with the pancake machine.
Cooper enjoying his feast. The boys love to get a little bit of everything and they know Mom doesn't care! Haha.
We got done with breakfast and the boys were ready to swim!
Dayton was a good sport to swim with the boys. It was WAY to cold for me.
Don't they have the funnest Dad? We got back to the hotel and unfortunately Cooper slipped in the tub and cut his chin open so we packed up after that, but we had a fun time and the boys told me how much they loved staying at the hotel. Hunter told me it was WAY better than any toy!
