One morning Carter came to Dayton and informed him he wanted to buy a business. We were completely confused. After some discussion, we learned he wanted to buy stocks! We let him invest some of his money. He chose coca cola. After a few days of that he was dissatisfied with his earnings. He asked if he could buy CSG (Dayton's company). Dayton told him that investments can take time, but if he wanted to earn money he could come up with his own business idea. He came to Dayton later that day with a "business plan" on a whiteboard. He drew out what he wanted to do. He wanted to make and sell freeze dried candy to the neighborhood. He had a plan for Hunter and Cooper to all help. It was the most adorable plan. Carter surprised us, I would have thought Hunter would have taken the lead on this, but it was ALL Carter. He had the work ethic and drive to pull it through. The boys made several hundred dollars buy knocking doors and taking orders. Then they helped prep and deliver the candies. What great little business men.
