We had the most amazing trip to Georgia and South Carolina. We flew in and stopped in Savannah for delicious southern seafood boil. Then we stopped at Leopold's Ice cream before heading to our resort on Hilton Head, South Carolina.
We were tired of siting from the flight so we went and walked around Forsyth Park and around downtown Savannah. They houses were spectacular. WE even found the bench from Forest Gump.
We met up with Danny and Leslie the next day. We enjoyed biking on the beach and going on our very first crabbing tour. Unfortunately none of the crabs we caught were big enough to keep, but we had a great time.
This was the view from our room. We loved our resort. We relaxed on the beach and I enjoyed reading in our cabanas.
We spent the next day touring Savannah. We went on a trolley tour around downtown Savannah, stopped at the haunted graveyards, walked around Forsyth Park, and went on a tour of Wormsole Plantation. I loved how charming and romantic Savannah was. It was such a fun city.
We ate all the seafood we could.
. . . and went to Leopold's as much as possible.
Our resort had a nice tennis/pickleball club. We played Danny and Leslie before they flew out. It got competitive.
Runs on the beach are the best!
We loved going for walks on the beach each day. Such a fun, relaxing vacation. Grandpa Dave was nice enough to come to Mapleton and take care of the boys. My mom took Parker. Grateful for grandparents who help watch kids to make these trips possible!
I could not get over how many jellyfish were dried up on the beach. They were everywhere!
