Happy Birthday Hunter!

Hunter is 7 and as cliché as it all is, I can't believe how big he is. It seems crazy that I can have a 7 year old.
Hunter was a little disappointed that he had to go to school on his birthday. Often, his birthday falls on Labor Day weekend. We usually can do fun things all weekend long. Unfortunately now he's a big kid and going to school all day too.
We still partied as much as we could. For dinner, we grabbed a pizza and let the kids play at Mapleton beach. It was a little chilly, so they just played in the sand. They were still entertained for ever. Then we went home and had Oreo stuffed cupcakes complete with Oreo frosting. Hunter loves Oreos so every year we do some sort of combination of Oreos. Grandma and Papa Hunter came on Sunday with can ice cream Oreo cake. With Carter's birthday just a few days before, we stoked with goodies, so we opted for a cupcake.
Hunter is a pretty special, unique kiddo. He is social and definitely an extrovert, but he also enjoys time by himself. He can often be found in a corner quietly reading a book, or sitting down working through school "workbooks" just for fun. He loves to learn and figure things out. He is doing incredibly well in Chinese and has really picked it up. He loves writing Chinese characters.
Hunter is still loving the piano and plays all the time. He is almost to book 3 and he only started lessons with me in December. He is truly musically talented.
Hunter is a great friend to others and a great big brother. He has really matured this year and wants to make sure his brothers are taken care of. He is extremely helpful around the house and helps clean, cook, and do laundry. What a little stud. We expect and ask a lot of this kid and he is awesome.
