The boys started swim lessons for the first time this summer. It was the first year they were actually willing to leave the side step (even while wearing a life jacket) so this was a huge step! They both made a lot of improvements. Luckily, our teenage neighbor taught out of her pool next door so it was super convenient for me with the two younger ones. A lot of times I could go during nap time and take the baby monitor. It was fantastic.
Hunter was nervous to float on his back, but by the end, he was putting his face in the water and diving for rings. He loved to swim around and practice.
Carter was still a little hesitant, so we just did one session. He made improvements too. Putting his face in the water was hard, but he worked hard at trying to blow bubbles and kick around.
Carter also got really good at floating and being more comfortable in the water.
