Come Follow Me

We've really enjoyed the new changes from the church this year. 2 hour church? It is amazing and soooo much easier for the kiddos (and us!). We are loving the extra time we get as a family to talk about gospel principles. We meet with my family once a month and try to plan different, simple activities each day for the kids. Dayton and I plan out the week on Sundays and decide what things we want to focus on that week. We keep it short and simple, but the kids love it and constantly ask what we are doing that night. Here are a few pictures from the first month. We acted out scenes from the New Testament and the boys worked on memorizing scriptures. We choose a new one each week.

Another time we were discussing the Holy Ghost. We hid candy for the kids and I (the Holy Ghost) prompted and "whispered" the right way to go. Dayton (Satan) tempted them in a loud voice to go another way. It was very effective and the kids loved it. Carter still talks about it. "Hey Dad, remember when you were Satan? Yeah Dad, you're Satan." We get a good laugh.
