No Cast and Happy Fourth of July!

Carter got his cast off the day before the 4th of July. We were so excited, but he was actually really sore and in a lot of pain. His leg was really stiff and he had lost a lot of muscle and still wasn't able to walk.
We wanted to celebrate and do something fun for the 4th of July, so we went to "Mapleton beach." It was perfect for Carter. He could sit and play in the sand and have a good time and the other boys got to swim for a bit. It was nice to be able to play in the sand and get dirty and not worry about his cast and getting sand stuck in it.

Cooper was a little nervous about getting into the water. He would crawl backwards, get his bum wet, giggle, and crawl back. He did this over and over and over.

Later we invited my family over for a BBQ. We had Dayton's famous hamburgers and lit sparklers.
